I like the quote from Prentis Hemphill, “Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously.” That quote encompasses one of the boundaries I try to live out: the boundary of self-love.

Speaking is not difficult for me, and I believe I have some great messages to share. But you have to figure out who will pay you money. I had an idea, I had a product—me— but I didn’t have a market.
When you’re a beginning runner, one of the things you do wrong is you start out running too fast. It always happens. Without fail, it’s the single mistake every new runner makes. They’re just so excited to get going! I had the same problem when I started my business, and that especially showed in the naming of my business.
My wife and I started WSI Summit back in 2012. Prior to that I spent more than 25 years in financial services, mostly at the leadership level. I now call myself a reformed corporate executive. Because of my background, we often end up working with organizations in the B2B space. One of the questions I get asked often is which social media platform businesses should be on.
I am the founder and chief consultant for a marketing company called Siren Media based in Oklahoma City. Often the kind of client I help is a business or nonprofit who is either just starting out or has plateaued in their marketing efforts. In many situations, they’ve started their marketing in a way that becomes unsustainable very quickly. I created my first website back in 1996, so it’s been quite a while. Fast forward a few years and my wife and I started T&S Online Marketing in 2003. We’ve seen a lot of changes since then! In 2003, digital marketing was primarily having a website.

I started working with Oklahoma United Methodist Circle of Care in 2015 as the Vice President of Programs, then started serving as the CEO in April of 2018. But the organization was founded way before I arrived, back in 1917. There are very few organizations in the nonprofit world across Oklahoma that can say that. […]
One of the three principles I’ve run my business by is caring. And I get asked about it all the time, because I genuinely love people. It doesn’t matter if it’s a stranger. People that know me and spend time with me always ask the same question: “How is it possible that you care about everyone? How could you say that you love everyone?”
Over a decade ago I had a patient come in. She was probably in her late 60s. As usual, I adjusted her and then helped her up. This particular day we were pretty busy. People were parked in the field out back and were lined up in the street. An average chiropractor sees 80-100 patients a week. I’ve seen as many as 900 people or so in a week. This may have been one of those weeks.
