Brian Carpenter, owner of 4DSales, is our speaker for October. Brian will address the impact of technology on the sales process both from a buyer’s and seller’s perspective. His background working in sales management and executive positions for IBM, Hitachi, the Sabre Group and Dollar Thrifty provides a perspective on how technology fundamentally altered the sales process.
In early 2012, Brian and his two partners formed 4DSales with the expressed purpose of providing a new technology that empowers professional sales people to compete in this changing environment. Partnering with outside investors and i2E funding, 4DSales launched its enterprise product in late 2014.
Brian will share the journey of 4DSales and how to compete in this technology heavy world….without having to be a technologist.
About Brian Carpenter
Brian Carpenter is the founder and CEO of 4DSales, a patented sales application that runs on iPads and Windows 8 tablets. In November 2012, 4DSales was announced as runner-up in the Lobeck Taylor Foundations StartUp Cup. With over 30 years in sales, Brian’s career began with IBM followed by Hitachi Data Systems and the SABRE Group as VP of Sales and Marketing. Later, he was VP of worldwide sales, marketing, advertising, e-commerce, and customer service for the Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group and Owner/Managing Partner of the Performance Resource Group.
Brian has an MBA in Finance and Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Oklahoma State University, as well as advanced executive education from Wharton, Darden, University of Chicago, MIT and the Cambridge Institute. Brian serves on the Boards of the Tulsa Boys Home and Junior Achievement of Oklahoma, and is active with First United Methodist Church. He is a founding member of Forrester Research’s Chief Marketing Officer Council. Brian, his wife, two children and their spouses reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
