About Michael Knopp

Originally a practicing attorney, Mike Knopp left his legal career in 2003 to establish the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation. As Executive Director, Mike has been a driving force behind the development of the Boathouse District and RIVERSPORT Adventure Park on the Oklahoma River near Downtown Oklahoma City. Mike also led the successful certification of the Oklahoma River as a U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Site.

About the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation

The Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation believes the Oklahoma River has the power to change lives. In just a few short years, people of all ages and from all parts of the city have become involved in rowing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, dragon boating, adventure sports, running and cycling. RIVERSPORT Adventure Park is able to provide an outdoor getaway to families from around the country thanks to the support of the OKC Boathouse Foundation. The foundation also supports the OKC High Performance Center. The athletes in the program are currently training for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Games in Tokyo.
