Ryan Posey, President of HSI Sensing, is our speaker for April.
He will share about how HSI Sensing has successfully transitioned to its third generation of family leadership. Each generation left its mark on the business, shaping its culture, strategy and achievements.
He will discuss how they made generational transitions (some good, some not-so-good), shifted the culture towards business growth, took on an acquisition, and have positioned their company so that future performance will be stronger than ever.
About Ryan Posey
Ryan Posey serves as President at HSI Sensing, formerly Hermetic Switch, Inc. Founded in 1968 by Posey’s grandfather, HSI Sensing is a multimillion-dollar manufacturing company that designs, develops, and manufactures reed switches, proximity sensors, and other sensing technologies for clients around the world.
Posey earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma in 2004 and completed an MBA from Auburn University in 2008. Ryan began his career at HSI focusing on electroplating processes, then grew to address all manufacturing processes. During this time implemented lean techniques plant-wide. He now oversees the activities of the entire organization and provides direction to management for both HSI and Genisco, a recent acquisition.
Under his leadership HSI has been recognized for several awards, including: Governor’s Manufacturing Leadership Award, Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting, Department of Commerce Export Champion, Small Business Administration Region VI Jeffrey Butland Family-owned Business of the Year, and the Journal Record Beacon Award for Philanthropy Impact.
Posey has served as the Chairman of the Economic Development Council of Chickasha and City Councilman of Ward 3. He currently serves on the State Chamber of Oklahoma Board. He received appointment by Governor Mary Fallin to the Oklahoma Partnership of School Readiness Board of Directors and serves as the Key Economic Network Champion for the South Central Region.
In his downtime he likes to read, bike, run, spend time with family, and travel with his wife Ashley. They have two children, Bennett and Vivian.
